I have debated for several days about whether or not to post this random spirit encounter but have decided that with all of the sensationalism and misguided statements out there it would not be unreasonable to add my own small voice to the mix in the hopes of being a wee bit more sensible than the general cacophony on the subject of Heath Ledger’s recent passing.
Regular readers of my blog will know by now that we, meaning Vera and Serge, have been traveling in the UK for the past couple of weeks. During our brief but expensive trip to London we did a fair amount of walking, despite their fantastic public transport system, and happened to stroll through an area of London called Clerkenwell while we were out and about.
As I was overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the city I didn’t notice too much in the way of spiritual activity while we were there. When we returned to the relatively quiet and slower-paced area of the city where we were staying, however, I began to feel that there was a spirit trying to voice something.
I brushed it off as we settled down to have dinner and didn’t really attempt to tune into it until I was getting ready for bed later in the evening.
When I opened up to it completely, it rushed in like a wave.
The spirit was frantic but disoriented.
I saw it rushing about back and forth in all directions, staying in close proximity but turning every which way.
It was waving its hands from side to side next to its face and fretting over its newfound circumstance.
It was speaking in incomplete thoughts and not to anyone in particular…
“What the…?”
“How did I…?”
“Oh, I didn’t mean to…”
“No, I didn’t mean…”
“How can I…?”
“How stupid am I….?”
“Can’t I….?”
“I can’t, no, I can’t…”
The overall energy was that of someone who is realizing and regretting all at the same time.
As the face finally solidified in front of me I recognized it as Heath Ledger, though I have only seen him in one movie. He seemed darker of hair and chubbier of face, sort of bloated. But it certainly was him.
Please note that this was NOT a deliberate attempt to channel Heath, nor would I do so except at the request of his family. It is simply the case that, as I found out later, I walked through the place in London where he was filming just a week before his passing.
When a spirit passes, before they cross over, they can and often do visit the last manifest places that they spent time in. This is most common when the spirit is trying to understand what happened to them and come to grips with their new, unmanifest, reality…sort of a “taking stock” type of process.
Though this energy was not speaking directly to me, and was not at a settled vibration where I could speak to it, I did get the understanding from his mindset that the circumstances of his passing were, without a doubt, purely accidental.
I could tell that his energy before death had been dark and gloomy, he seemed to have lost the lust for life and was desperately grasping for something to hold on to. His intentions however were in no way wishing for death and the cloudiness of the residual aura that I encountered alongside his spirit suggests that he was not thinking clearly in the days and hours before his passing.
Perhaps someone should have been there caring for him. Perhaps he would not have accepted such care-taking. Perhaps he had lived a party life in his past, or perhaps not. Perhaps he was feeling down and depressed. Who knows for certain?
No matter these things, the truth, as I heard it from his spirit, is that he did not take his own life in any deliberate way. It was not suicide. He simply mistakenly overdosed on something that he took, prescribed or not, while in a very unaware state of mind.
Though the energy suggests that he is not yet resting in peace, I trust that once he adjusts to his new spirit state and checks on the status of his loved ones, he will feel free enough to go into the light and await his reconnection with them in the next realm of life.
My deepest condolences to his family, for whom there is now likely a seeming hole in their lives.
Knowing that all things occur as is best for the spirit and the universe may one day bring them comfort.

Hi everyone. I thought I’d post an excerpt of a news story that appeared on msnbc.com today, Feb 6th 2008 as it is very relevant to what Vera has posted above. Tell me when you finish reading it that you didn’t get chills down your back! That and it is blatant validation for Vera and her talents.

Heath Ledger died of accidental overdose
28-year-old actor had oxycodone, anti-anxiety, sleep aids in his system
The actor Heath Ledger died from an accidental overdose of six different drugs — painkillers and sedatives — the medical examiner said Wednesday, leading doctors to warn of the dangers of mixing prescription drugs. The 28-year-old film star died “of acute intoxication” from the combination of two strong painkillers, two anti-anxiety medicines and two sleeping aids, according to the medical examiner’s office.
“This is not rock star wretched excess,” said Cindy Kuhn, a pharmacology professor at Duke University.“ This is a situation that could happen to plenty of people with prescriptions for these kind of drugs.” Kuhn said some of the drugs are long-lasting and Ledger could have taken them over a period of several days. The medical examiner’s office wouldn’t say what concentrations of each drug were found in Ledger’s blood.

Ledger, nominated for an Oscar for his role as cowboy Ennis del Mar in “Brokeback Mountain,” had returned to New York from London, where he had been making a Terry Gilliam film, days before his death. He told The New York Times in November that his most recent completed roles in the Batman movie “The Dark Knight” and Bob Dylan biopic “I’m Not There” had taken a toll and caused him to lose sleep. “Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night,” Ledger told the Times. “I couldn’t stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going.” He said he had taken two Ambien pills, which only gave him an hour of sleep.

If it was in fact Heath, I am not surprised. I kind if had a feeling he would be unsettled and full of questions as to what happened to him. Were you in anyway able to communicate with him to tell him what had happened and try to get him to accept it? Just curious…

No. Marianne, I did try but he was not in a back-and-forth conversation kind of place. His awareness had not yet adjusted to its reality, not even enough to hear me speaking to him. He definitely already knew what had happened but just couldn’t believe that it was true. Though another person did get to communicate with him at a later date, he refused help of any kind. Hopefully he has now balanced out and will be crossing over soon to await his next lifetime.

Your experience is very unsettleing and disturbing, I do appreciate you sharing it with the rest of the world. It’s important that we understand the meaning of all this; it appears that Heath, yes indeed was in trouble, with mind and emotions all over the place he mismanaged his pill intake. I recommend this video by Nahulanham, it’s on youtube too– THE MIND OF HEATH LEDGER–another spiritualist like you and intuitive psychic, he prettymuch confirms waht you say here- which proves something. Thanks for your comments and video links. I normally remove these types of links. Although I do not necessarily agree with all of the views expressed in these videos, I have chosen to leave the links for the time being, as perhaps the videos may help others in a grieving process.

Vera, If i’m totally honest, I couldn’t believe what happened to Heath when I first heard and since that day, have thought about him, even though i didn’t know him or really follow his career. Un believably saddened is how I describe myself, but when I read your post, I felt 10 times worst. I only write to ask and to hope that he would be at peace yet? or still in the passing over stage? I really hope that he is at peace.

Thank you for posting that. I was very sad when I heard he had died. Shocked. It’s just horrible when anybody that young dies out of the blue.
I read in post number 7 that someone else had an experience with him. Are you allowed to tell what happened or what they told you happened? And if so, can you? I’d appreciate it. If not, I understand.

Yes. We are all very concerned about Heath’s afterlife happiness, since he seemed to be lacking happiness at the end of his life.
I cannot elaborate on the experiences of others, except to say that it was very similar to mine.
Whether he is at peace now, I cannot say. I feel that he has finally gone to his family, no more wandering the globe trying to figure out what happened. He has taken on the role that so many newly departed souls do: tending to the well-being of their living loved ones.
Surely he will cross over when the time is right for them.

The day I heard this , I got shivers up my spine as I was watching it on the tv. I wasn’t even quite sure who he was but that was the feeling I got.

I have been concerned with Heath’s family and loved ones. I’m wondering if they’ve started to get visitations yet? Many years ago, when I was 21 years old, a close friend of mine (also 21) died shockingly and unexpectedly in his sleep. The circumstances of his death were never made clear to me (I never knew the real reason why he died–he found was dead in a university dorm and the school kept changing the story as to the cause of death). It was also close to graduation so even though I did grieve–I didn’t have too much time to do so with finals looming. I also had some guilt regarding his death because I knew he had some emotional problems and I thought he could be angry with me (we hadn’t been as close before he passed on).
Anyway, several months after he died, I started getting an odd visitation of a spirit. Every night for a few weeks, I would hear the door to my bedroom creak open (although when I would look at the door, it was still shut), I heard footsteps and yet no person was standing in front of me; then I heard someone or something sit on my bed and yet there was no person. But there was a definite spirit–I also felt a bit of a wind blow into my face. The first time this happened, Vera, I thought I was dreaming; the second time, I thought I was nuts. I started contemplating going to see a shrink because I really thought I was slipping into dementia. But yet the spirit didn’t see malignant–I felt something benign about it so oddly and inexplicably enough, I wasn’t scared.
I began to think that this was my recently deceased friend.
On the last day of the visitation, once again, I heard all of the above; but this time, when the spirit sat on my bed, I felt something that confirmed this was indeed my friend. It was a kiss on my cheek. When my friend was alive, he would invariably say hello and goodbye to me by kissing me on my cheek. When I felt the spirit do this, I knew it was him and I knew he had come to reassure me that his death had nothing to do with me–that I shouldn’t feel guilt and I should go on. That was the last visitation.
When I tried to tell my mother about it, she thought I was on drugs so I never brought it up again. Recently, I told a friend of mine who is very interested in spirituality. He didn’t think I was crazy; in fact, he told me a lot of people experience something similar to this.
When I heard of Heath’s death, so shocking and unexpected-and so young–like my friend, it made me wonder whether his loved ones, especially those who might have some guilt regarding his death, will get a similar visitation.
Thank you for letting me share this story. I’ve wanted to tell people about it ever since I heard about Heath.
