The Universe Says to Detox

Thanks for reading Vera Nadine!
Along with my spiritual lessons and challenges I have recently been given a directive by my guides to detoxify my physical existence.
I have known for ages that this directive was on its way, as my reading tastes have been incorporating this and related concepts for a couple of years now.
But the timing of the directive, when my love life is on an upswing, my writing is on a downswing and my prosperity is pretty much stagnant, is what surprised me most.
Can’t they see that I’m busy being blissfully in love? Can’t they see that my professional life is virtually dead? What makes them think that NOW is the time to add a collection of very difficult tasks to my life?
But I do see now, that it is the perfect time. I have found my soul mate, thus I have the strongest support network that one could want. I have no demands on my mind or skills right now because the launch of myself and my work is not manifesting at this precise moment.
If I cannot take proper care of myself now, when will I? If I do not get my house in order while I am having down-time, won’t it just crumble around me when I am catapulted into successful up-time?
Well, now that I have decided to clean out my physical world, what exactly does that mean? How does one detoxify their physical existence?
I know that the goal is to reach inner balance, to be high energy and to come closer to my ascension, to my manifestation of divine self and divine creation.
So I guess that my detoxification is about my food intake (obviously,) and possessions (reluctantly,) and thoughts (hopefully,) but it is also about other things that one may not immediately think of. It is about people, about pursuits and about how one chooses to spend their time and energy.
I am just at the beginning stages of what promises to be a long, life-altering and none-too-easy process.
What I am starting with right now is the Body.
The guides stated that I have a massive, systemic Candida infection. This is a healthy yeast that lives (with other beneficial cultures) in our digestive system.
But the grand ole modern living unfortunately leads to the perfect atmosphere in which candida can begin to overgrow. This is precipitated by antibiotics, baked goods and yummy sweets. A bad yeast’s paradise.
So, I have been doing an annual herbal detox for a few years, but this does not carry the necessary weight to eliminate Candida.
I went to the guides with a set of questions about how to improve my health. They suggested a detox. I followed up by giving them options for detoxification and getting more specific recommendations from them.
I asked what I should eliminate and for how long. They said that anything I eliminated should be taken out of my diet for at least 18-24 months. They listed the items in order of importance, saying that the first thing should be eliminated immediately.
The results were thus:
1. Eliminate Dairy (Dairy! Oh Goddess, not my DAIRY!!! I’m descended from generations of dairy farmers, a meal is just not complete without cheese!)
2. Eliminate all wheat-based yeasty foods (What about my cinnamon rolls?!?!? They don’t have wheat, right?)
3. Eliminate “Energetically Imbalanced” Meat (Ummmm, please tell me that CHICKEN is not a meat!)
Arrrgghhhh. Okay, so I have to eliminate dairy.
I have now managed to do that for more than 5 weeks. I am experiencing detox in the form of acne. Acne in weird places (like on elbows and behind knees.) I barely even had any acne in high school for goodness sake.
About a week ago I tried having one of my old stand-bys, pizza. Firstly, within two hours I was out cold, sleeping like a log. Secondly, I woke up the next morning with the type of gas and stomach ache that were pretty much standard a couple of months ago.
So, no dairy.
I have been dating a vegan for a bit now, and I had once been vegetarian myself, so I had already been attempting (in a half-assed manner) to limit my meat intake for a while.
Though the guides said that I could still eat meat, and that eliminating it was my last priority, my own feelings are towards getting it out of my diet. So I have, off and on, been doing the vegetarian thing for days at a time and monitoring the results when I reincorporate meat.
The results are yucky feelings and sleepiness, so I will now go completely vegetarian. Maybe total veganism will come later.
I have not tackled wheat yet so I will discuss the harrowing nature of that endeavor at a later date. ;)
I am now researching different ways to affect and aide the detoxification process, such as sweat lodges, colonic irrigation, ear candling, mud wraps, herbal flush, fermented foods and more.
For now the only major thing that I have added to my daily intake is a supplement pill that contains live cultures of acidophilus and other beneficial digestive bacteria. This will tip the balance in their favor as I try to tame the rooted beast that is Candida overgrowth.
One benefit that I am noticing this far is a 13 pound weight loss and less mood swings throughout my day.
One detraction is having to learn all new recipes and ingredients. (Thank goodness I have some friends to inspire me with those.)
Wish me luck and I’ll keep you all posted on my progress!

Like you, I have a massive yeast overgrowth. I am not quite ready to give up cheese yet, but I have decided to try replacing it with goat cheese which I also love.
A friend recently reccommended a product called THREELAC. It is called Threelac Candida Yeast Recovery and is produced by the Rainbow Minerals company. You can find them online at http://www.rainbowminerals.net
I am still on my first box. Check them out with your guides and see if it is right for you. I did some major detoxing when I was sick in India. I also lost at least 10 pounds. My detoxing came in the form of sweating until my clothes were soaked over and over each night. Yes, it was hot but not that hot at night in southern India.

Vera,
The more I read about dairy… the more I think it does have to go… I’ve cut out milk this year and feel better for it. And red meat.
But does no dairy mean no chocolate?????
Congrats on the soulmate by the way, I love hearing about that in your posts - stoked for you!

Hello!
It is interesting that many of us are feeling the call to detoxify our bodies (as well as our minds) these days, and particularly with the things you’ve mentioned. I too was directed to do this a few months ago, and the vegan diet has proven beneficial.
Blessings to you as you undergo this process… as we all work towards our evolution!

[…] This is the beginning of a process of detoxification that was suggested for me by my guides, and some visiting spirits, during the past few months. You can read more about it in my future post, The Universe Says to Detox. […]

Dear Vera,
I’ve gone through this myself - I would highly recommend anything from the american botanical pharmacy,
do the intestinal detox, the kidney and liver flush, and you will feel so much better =)
Our body knows how to heal itself, if we give it the right conditions. ;)
Goddess bless, and good luck!

Hi and thanks for your suggestion Jeremy. Although I do not endorse any product I have already ordered an internal cleansing kit and colonic detox program from Blessed Herbs. This is real herbal healing from a woman that I trust. Wish me luck as it looks like it may be a bit of a wild ride on this stage of my detox!
