Getting High on Vibes

Thanks for reading Vera Nadine!
Okay I have now officially been tagged by this High Vibes Game thrice now and I guess three times is the charm. I am finally gonna get off of my duff and contribute some gratitude. A true Thank You to Kara-Leah Masina at Be Conscious Now, to Karen Lynch at Live the Power and to Lexi at the Energies of Creation for tagging me to play this great game!
First the game: Begun by Optimist Lab, the High Vibes Game is essentially a blog meme aimed at getting a good base of uplifting articles going over at the new positivity-focused news site called high Vibe it.
Here is how you play:
1.Write a new post about your five favorite tricks for “Raising Your Vibes”.
2.Link back to OptimistLab and the person who tagged you at the top of your post.
3.Give your attention to five (or more if you want) deserving bloggers by picking one high-quality post by each blogger.
4.Tag these bloggers by going to high Vibe it, (a news sharing site, I’ll explain more about it farther down), and submitting your “Raising Your Vibes” post and the five posts you picked.
5.Tell each blogger you picked that they’ve been tagged either through email or by leaving a comment.
My Five Favorite Ways to Raise My Vibes:
Hot Bath/Cold Shower - Depending on the time of year and the weather I just love to immerse myself in the water and let it wash all of the negativity and energetic detritus off of me. The hot bath is great because you can meditate while you’re in there or just let the mind wander aimlessly, always remembering to not dwell on any one thought. The cold shower invigorates because it gets the adrenaline going and makes you feel alive!
Short Term Detox - So many free radicals and environmental toxins can build up in our body systems. There is no way to completely avoid this in our modern world. For raising my frequency I like to do either a one-day detox which consists of nothing but water, flower remedies and herbal tea. If I feel that too much has accumulated or like something may be starting to weaken my immune system then I do a one or two-week detox eating (as much as practically possible) only veggies, fruits, water and broth. It is a bit more self-disciplined than I am normally but my health is worth it.
Shake It and Sing - I like to sing out loud while walking barefoot in my garden or on a local woodland path. If the mood takes me, I will sing while dancing naked in my bedroom. It doesn’t matter what your conscious ego thinks of the whole idea…the spirit loves it!
Declutter My World - This was at one time a challenge that I had to go through on my spiritual path. Now its a gift that I give myself every so often. One day I will just realize how heavy my belongings are weighing on my soul. Sometimes they can just make it so your mind gets cluttered and your energy or moods feel out of whack. So I start walking around the house, reassessing my connection to many of my belongings and putting them in an “energy release” pile. When they go out the door to a charity or a friend then my energy connection to that object is released and it raises my vibes. I absolutely LOVE this process and would highly recommend the two funniest and most inspiring books on letting go of junk that I have ever read: Don Aslett’s For Packrats Only and Clutter Free Finally & Forever.
Grounding Meditation - Okay, I know it may seem weird that I consider a grounding meditation to be vibe raising, but I do. You see because I work in the cerebral fields of spirit contact, psychological counseling and writing, I can sometimes get top-heavy. By that I mean that my connections and chakras up top are free and open to the universal energies above and around us. But at the same time my root chakra and my connection to earth and manifestation can become shut off without my realizing it. Then I find my thoughts getting fuzzy and tend to get dizziness and headaches. So what I do is sit cross-legged on the floor and allow myself to put roots down into the manifest Earth. I also open petals from the top of my head up into the energy of the universe. Then I pull earth energy up and through my body and send it out through the petals. After which I pull universal energy down through my body and out through the roots. Both energies mingle inside of me and I sit there for several minutes lingering in that perfect balance.
That is how I raise my vibes. How do you give yourself a lift?

Hey Vera,
Strange, but in my browser this post seems to be cut off somewhere in the middle. It is just me, or is there a problem on your end?
Blessings,
Mike

Thanks for the heads-up Mike!
And I thought that you were the absent-minded one!
LOL.
My Wordpress Editor ate the post for a snack.
I made it spit it back out though. ;)

Hi Vera,
Love your High Vibes list!
I’m so glad you mentioned decluttering. I’m a huge fan of releasing stuff to help keep the energy of my space open and clear.
So glad to have met a “decluttered kindred spirit”

I also want to mention that Jonathan can play too!
I’m happy to “tag” anyone who didn’t get tagged by someone else. You can get the scoop in the directions for the game–just click on the link to OptimistLab in the “how to play” section above.
I’ll try to get in touch with Jonathan directly, but thought I’d mention it here too.

Hi Vera,
Thanks for tagging me… I too need to get off my duff and join the High Vibe party. I was doing the shakin’ and singin’ thing you recommended, but got it kinda wrong… I ended up doing the dancing naked on the woodland path and now there is a warrant out for my arrest :-D
