    A Message from Gretchen…

Please know that there is no organized religion that has it 100% right. Please know that much of that “organization” is designed not for spiritual enlightenment but for self-perpetuation of the religion itself.

All of these theoretically “spiritual” organizations began as a small movement, an uplifting idea that gave spiritual strength at the individual level, that spoke to the heart and happiness of the people that it touched.

It is only in the codification, the keeping of secrets, the amassing of power and wealth that these “spiritual” organizations became the harbingers of exclusion, guilt and shame. Each, in turn, forgetting that it is only by the individual that real truths can be found; only to the individual spirit that the “Creator” by whatever name can truly be known.

Salvation is not an after-life concept. It is a during-life concept. Truth, enlightenment, salvation are all realities that require nothing but the knowledge of one’s inner self, one’s higher or divine self. There is no need for a church or a mosque, a synagogue or a grove. These things can facilitate the knowing but can also stand in its way.

Be true and honest with yourself. Go within and give to others what you yourself would wish to be given. Hone integrity in your actions and always find the joy in each little moment. Then you will know the true meaning of freedom, for one who acts as they believe to be right at all times has no need of guidance by external forces or restrictive dogma.
